Well I've been back to work for a week now. It seemed a lot harder this time than it did with Ethan. I cried on the way to work, not sure if it was because of lack of sleep or that I really didn't want to go to work??? The only saving grace with going back to work is knowing that my mother is watching the kids and they are probably in better hands than if I was with them. Katelee must have sensed my stress because the had two really horrible nights, so I made myself relax before I went and got her the next night and it went much better. Chris is such a great husband. He gets up in the middle of the night and always asks if I need him to do anything. When I'm really tired I take him up on the offer! As for work, every day gets a little easier and the thought that one day I won't have to work keeps me going.... Although that is quite a ways in the future!
Katelee is getting bigger and I find myself having to go back to work tomorrow. I don't know how I will handle it. I'mnot as excited about going back as I was with Ethan. I think I'm kinda getting use to being a mother now. Katelee is a good baby, and usually isn't fussy until night time when she is tired and hungry. She is going down around 9 or 9:30 and getting up around 3 and then again around 6. This should work pretty good for my work schedule, of course if she sleep until 6 that would be great too! Wish me luck on going back to work! I'll let you know how it goes!
Today is Ethan's Birthday. He is finally excited about opening presents and tore them all to pieces. Since he is such an aggressive boy we decided to get him a punching bag so he can hit and kick that all he wants and not his sister or dog. So far it is working, but it has only been a couple of hours. I can't believe my child is already two, wow seems like just yesterday he was Katelee's age. Ethan loves Elmo and Winnie the Pooh. His birthday party is going to be Elmo, so I made his invites little Elmos'. It was way easier than last years Pirate invite, plus Aunt Anna did most of the cutting out. Gotta love her! We have a full day of fun planned including going to the park in a little bit for lunch and fun and then hopefully a really long nap and his favorite meal for dinner.
Katelee has really been smiling lately. This was tonight after she got done eating and Daddy was holding her. She was just beaming at him and I actually got a picture of it!
So here are some more pictures of our little Katelee! We are so happy to have her in our home, she is a great baby! Ethan still adores her and loves to give her kisses as you can tell by the picture! He doesn't quite know what the word Gentle means, but he is learning! Having a little girl in the house is definantly fun!
Here are some more pictures of our little lady. She is a really good baby, smaller than we are use to. But we love her just the same. Ethan is a really good big brother, he loves giving kisses and hugs and trying to put her binky in her mouth whenever she cries. She is now a month old, and I find myself having to go back to work in 2 weeks. How time flys. We are very excited to have an addition to our family and can't wait to add more to it (When I say can't wait, I simply mean in the future.....No rush here)
